Liam O'Hagan

Center Director, INTO Queen's University Belfast

Liam joined INTO Queen’s University Belfast in September 2010, initially in a teaching capacity before taking on a Programme Manager role for almost nine years.

In 2019 Liam was appointed the Academic Director at INTO Queen’s. During this time, Liam led the way in transforming the academic quality and standards of the INTO Queen’s programmes as well as increasing the overall outcomes and progression rates for students.  He has successfully taken the centre through three QAA annual reviews and at the start of 2023, the more comprehensive QAA Educational oversight - Exceptional Arrangements review. The final report confirms QAA’s confidence in INTO Queen’s management of quality and standards and identifies good practice for the Centre. Liam balanced all this while leading his team through the ongoing challenges brought on due to the pandemic.

Liam holds a First Class Honours degree from Queen’s University Belfast and an MSc (Econ) from University of Wales, Aberystwyth.
